The Emancipation of #memes

I don’t know when is the exact time, I first saw a meme. I don’t even know when was the time I schooled myself on how to pronounce it the right way.

Till this day, some are still confused on how to say it in a manner that no one will bat an eye

~ Lucky for me, There is no need for my girlfriend to choke me out of social humiliation Ha-Ha!

What I do know is that, for the past few days, memes helped me in releasing stress, anxiety, unknown demon/s before it actually explodes downright boredom mostly at work or when I simply needed to save myself from awkward situations. It’s been a stressful ride for me at work since I am currently transitioning from one account to another and a pending flight that requires tons of documents did not do any good.

In between all these, I found myself taking a step back and browse for all these hilarious pictures that pulls me right back to my stable psyche.

Side Note: Of course it has always been my family and girlfriend as my constant source of happiness Naks! Am I not the sweetest? Ha-Ha!

There is no denying that for any mood, whatever the situation may be, or anything that you might think Memes are nothing but fu**ing hilarious!

What’s great about it, is the thought of someone who actually thinks of the same thing and what one would actually look like for most cases that even has pictures, just the way you see it in your head!

I can’t go through all the funny memes online, but I can surely share the ones I saved on my phone or memes that cracked the hell out of me from seconds to minutes!

Let me guess. You’ve already laughed or smirk eh? I do!

But before we enjoy these memes, I’ve gathered some good to know facts about memes and the story behind it.

Source: Google – The word meme is a shortening (modeled on gene) of mimeme (from Ancient Greek μίμημα pronounced [míːmɛːma] mīmēma, “imitated thing”, from μιμεῖσθαι mimeisthai, “to imitate”, from μῖμος mimos, “mime”) coined by British evolutionary biologist Richard Dawkins in The Selfish Gene (1976)

An Internet meme could be anything from an image to an email or video file; however, the most common meme is an image of a person or animal with a funny or witty caption

Remember that episode in That’s So Raven? When Raven’s dad advises her mom to let out all her anger towards her professor through a letter and they have to exhaust everything to get the letter back before it reaches the professor because Raven accidentally sent it? That was a classic Raven episode that I love! + Macy Gray was there too!

This can prevent someone from not thinking twice and spit word mud to another just because one is full of emotion. After transferring all the madness into words and apply it on the paper, it gives such relief  and this technique can definitely help lessen the word r-e-g-r-e-t during confrontations and misunderstanding over little things that may end up plain badly.

I actually see it as an effortless distraction to keep one’s sanity when needed. I mean, just look at it and the next thing you know, you are laughing at your own, which sometimes can make you look silly, stupid or weird in a room filled with your office mates. Hahaha!

I’ve been sharing these memes to my girlfriend when I started downloading pictures on my phone and we both can’t stop laughing our hearts and lungs out Ha-Ha!
